Coverage is one flat fee, but anything the couple keeps or holds — extra retouching, prints, the album — is counted out per unit so the add-on pricing is visible.
Five things a shoot invoice has to name
Shoot date and venue
Name the date and location in the first line description — "Wedding coverage — 14 June, Rosewood Barn" — so the invoice matches the booking the client remembers.
Licence terms in the notes
There is no rights field, so write the usage you are granting into the notes: personal use, or commercial with the duration, territory and media spelled out.
Retouching as a count
Put the number of hand-edited images in the quantity column and your per-image rate in the rate column, so extra edits read as a per-image price rather than a vague top-up.
Prints and albums separately
List physical products on their own lines instead of folding them into the session fee — clients compare print prices, and goods are worth tracking apart from your time. If you charge sales tax, note that the form has a single tax line on the whole subtotal rather than one per line.
Retainer as a discount
The generator has one discount on the subtotal, percent or fixed. Enter the retainer there so the figure at the bottom is the balance still owed, not the full package price.

How do I invoice image licensing?
Add the license as its own line item — for example 'Image license — 12 months, web use' — and describe the full terms in the notes field so the rights granted are unambiguous.
How do I handle deposits and retainers?
Issue a separate invoice for the deposit when the booking is confirmed, then a final invoice for the balance after delivery, each with its own number.
Do photographers charge sales tax?
It depends on your location and what you're selling — physical prints are taxed differently from services or digital files in many places. Set the rate that applies to you, or leave it empty.
